The Selectmen serve three-year terms.

The Selectmen meet regularly every other Monday at 7 pm in Emerson Hall. The agenda is usually posted in the Castine Patriot the Thursday edition prior to the meeting date, on the Municipal Bulletin Board, on Public Access Cable Channel 7, at several business locations around Town and on this web site.
NOTE: During the summer months, the Selectmen have been meeting at 4 pm.

The Zoning Board of Appeals calls an annual meeting and schedules interim meetings as needed. When someone files an appeal, a meeting will be scheduled with enough notice of the date, place and time. The time is generally 7 pm in Emerson Hall.

Their meetings are posted in the Castine Patriot several weeks prior to the meeting date and gives a deadline for the submission of any applications. Meetings and agendas are also posted on the Municipal Bulletin Board, Public Access Cable Channel 7 and this web site. Application forms for building permits and historic preservation certificates can be obtained at the town office from the CEO.
