The Zoning Board of Appeals calls an annual meeting and schedules interim meetings as needed. When someone files an appeal, a meeting will be scheduled with enough notice of the date, place and time. The time is generally 7 pm in Emerson Hall.

The Commission meets on the 1st Wednesday of every month at 4 pm in Emerson Hall. Their meetings are posted in the Castine Patriot several weeks prior to the meeting date and gives a deadline for the submission of any applications. Meetings and agendas are also posted on the Municipal Bulletin Board, Public Access Cable Channel 7 and this web site. Application forms for building permits and historic preservation certificates can be obtained at the town office from the CEO.
